About me: I'm Kelsey. Photographer. Dog Trainer. Artist. I have 3 dogs:

Buddy- Cute little black and grey chi/terrier (6 yrs)

Daisy- Beautiful Deaf Blue Heeler (4 yrs)

Zilla- Silly, fun loving, deaf tri color Blue Heeler (2 yrs)

I picked up a camera as a kid and never really put it down—starting with photos of my dogs, my toys, my family, and whatever caught my attention, and eventually moving into wildlife, nature, and the moments happening around me.

My background is rooted in wildlife and nature photography, along with experience in photojournalism, where I documented real events and everyday moments for a local community magazine, Life on the Lakes (now known as Stroll The Lakes). That experience shaped the way I see photography today—less about posing, and more about observing and capturing what’s already there.

I’ve also been published as a in Photographer’s Forum Best of College Photography and other publications over the years. From early awards for my nature work to creating my own photo books and documenting full-day equestrian events, photography has always been a constant in my life.

These days, I focus on dogs and the people who love them.

My approach is documentary and candid at its core—influenced by wildlife photography and photojournalism—meaning I’m looking for real behavior, natural expression, and real moments, photographing your dog as they are.

That might look like:

● a working dog in training

● a quiet moment between a handler and their dog

● or the small, everyday details that usually go unnoticed

I do incorporate light guidance when needed, but the goal is always the same:
 real moments over perfect ones.
